- Belt filter press
CXSW belt filter press.
A continuous sludge dewatering press: the sludge drains under gravity on the moving belt, is compressed in the wedge zone, and is then pressed between rollers at increasing pressure.

What a belt filter press does
A belt filter press dewaters sludge continuously. Conditioned sludge is spread across a moving filter belt and the free water drains away under gravity. The sludge is then compressed in a wedge-shaped zone, where the two belts come together, and carried through a stack of rollers that squeeze the remaining water out of the cake, which is scraped off the belt at the discharge end. Because the belt keeps moving, the press runs without a batch cycle, which suits the larger sludge volumes of municipal and industrial treatment plants. Belt width, running speed and the number of pressure zones follow the sludge type, the feed solids and the target cake, and are fixed during sizing.

CXSW belt filter press — model range
The press works in stages: the sludge is conditioned as it is fed, drains under gravity on the horizontal deck, is compressed in the wedge-shaped zone where the two belts first come together, and passes finally through the high-pressure pressing zone between the rollers. The belt is washed on its return run, so the filter medium is cleaned between passes and the dewatering duty carries on without interruption.

The model range is fixed against the sludge volume, the feed solids and the target cake during sizing. Specifications are confirmed against the factory catalogue and the actual build.
Applications
Municipal wastewater sludge
Dewatering the surplus sludge from municipal wastewater treatment plants, where the press runs continuously on the waste sludge stream.
Industrial wastewater sludge
Dewatering the sludge produced by industrial wastewater treatment, including the physico-chemical sludges of chemical and manufacturing plants.
Continuous, larger-volume duties
Chosen where the sludge volume suits a press that keeps running rather than a batch machine — the belt carries the dewatering duty on without a cycle.
Delivery
Units are assembled and tested at our factory before shipment, then shipped with export documentation. Loading arrangement and delivery schedule: [to be confirmed with factory].
